Recipe Instructions
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 8-10 fresh sage leaves from Sagetap
- 2 tbsp honey (or to taste)
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Optional: cinnamon stick or ginger slice
Instructions
- Heat water: Bring water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan
- Add sage: Add fresh sage leaves and reduce heat to a simmer
- Simmer: Let the sage simmer for 5 minutes to extract the flavor
- Steep: Remove from heat and let steep for an additional 3 minutes
- Strain: Strain out the sage leaves using a fine mesh strainer
- Sweeten: Add honey and stir until dissolved
- Finish: Add lemon juice and stir well
- Serve: Pour into mugs and enjoy hot
